When it comes to rib-tickling banters on X (formerly Twitter), no one does it better than the duo of Michael Vaughan and Wasim Jaffer. Both are fierce rivals on X and never shy away from pulling each other’s leg whenever the opportunity arises. Today, that is on Sunday (October 29), Vaughan is celebrating his birthday and this means, he got a cheeky wish from Jaffer.

Jaffer roasted him brutally by posting a picture of chocolate cake and pasting one of Vaughan’s tweets on it. In that tweet, Vaughan praised the England cricket team for being a strong contender for the World Cup.

Check Jaffer’s and Vaughan’s tweets here:

The irony is that England have won just one match out of the five they have played so far, and their chance to qualify for the semi-finals looks distant. They have to win the rest of the group stage matches, as well as boost their Net Run Rate in order to make it to the last four.

Michael Vaughan’s first Test wicket was Wasim Jaffer

At Lord’s Test between India and England in 2002, Michael Vaughan bagged his first Test wicket by dismissing Wasim Jaffer. The former England skipper once said on Ravichandran Ashwin‘s YouTube channel that their friendly rivalry started after he dismissed Jaffer during that Lord’s match.

This is why, when an X user shared the video of Jaffer’s dismissal while wishing Vaughan, the ex-England skipper took another hilarious jibe at the former India player.

That’s a lovely Birthday message .. Do you agree @WasimJaffer14 !! You seem to have played this with half a bat .. show the full face next time,” Vaughan wrote on X.

In case you missed!
