Starc, who returned to the IPL after 8 long years, was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders for ₹24.75 crore. Delhi Capitals had opened the bid, with Mumbai Indians challenging them. With this, he is now the most expensive buy in the IPL. Starc played in the IPL in 2014 and 2015, representing Royal Challengers Bangalore. After avoiding the league for 8 years, he has finally returned.
