After getting released by CSK in 2019, Mohit Sharma went to Delhi Capitals where he featured in only one match. He was again released and was without an IPL franchise for 2 years. In 2022 he was hired by the Gujarat Titans as a net bowler.

In 2023, He was bought by the Titans in the IPL auction. He did not feature in the first 4 games, but after that he was a regular name in the GT side. In the next 14 games, Mohit would pick up 27 wickets. This was his highest wicket taking season so far. He was integral to the Titans reaching the finals as well.

Mohit was used as the side’s death overs specialist, with his back of the hand slower ball being his go to delivery. Despite bowling in the death overs, Mohit managed to keep an economy of 8.17 with an average of 13.37. He also achieved his best bowling figures, picking up a fifer against Mumbai in the 2nd Qualifier, ensuring they reach the finals. GT went on to lose the finals against MS Dhoni led CSK, but this was still a season to remember for the new and improved Mohit Sharma.
