Kieron Pollard's wicket

MS Dhoni, the former Chennai Super Kings captain, is famous for having a fine mind when it comes to cricket and he has shown the same while playing against the Mumbai Indians at the DY Patil Stadium, on Thursday, April 21.

During Maheesh Theekshana’s over in the 17th over, MS Dhoni was seen asking Shivam Dube to move very straight towards long-on. On the very next ball of Theekshana, he bowled a carron ball and Kieron Pollard looked to go ariel. But Pollard got trapped in the field set; after hitting the ball, Shivam Dube easily caught it.

A video of the incident is going viral on the internet and you can watch it below:

Meanwhile Mumbai faced yet another defeat; 7th in a row and this IPL season seemed to their worst in the history. They are at the very bottom of the points table. But the season wasn’t a great one for CSK also as they have clinched their only two victories in their 7 matches.

Talking about the innings, CSK won the toss an opted to bowl first. Mumbai Indians lose wickets in the very first over with Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan going for a duck. Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma revived MI’s innings and they set a target of 155/7 for CSK. CSK’s Mukesh Chaudhury scalped most wickets for CSK, 3, in this match.

Even CSKS’s opening wasn’t good but slowly they started scoring runs but after Ambati Rayudu got dismissed, MS Dhoni took the responsivities on his shoulder and in the last over, when only 17 runs were required, MS Dhoni scored a brilliant 16 runs and helped CSK win he match.

“We were very tense the way game was going. But the great finisher of the game was still there, so we knew we had a chance. He’s still here and doing it for us. Yes, he (Mukesh) has bowled well upfront and done well for us in the powerplay. If you aren’t winning games, you still want to be calm. (On him dropping catches) It happens, that’s why I never take fielding for granted and practise hard. We need to work on our fielding, can’t afford to drop catches,” said Ravindra Jadeja during the post-match presentation.
