Age is the factor Indian cricket lovers will not be watching MS Dhoni playing cricket in the years to come. He shocked everyone when he decided to step down from captaincy just two days before the start of the 15th edition of IPL 2022. This saw Ravindra Jadeja handling the duties of the captain but he was under a lot of pressure, given that he never captained any sides before. CSK also had a worst season and Jadeja then relinquished captaincy with the reason that he wants to concentrate on his game more.

That saw MS Dhoni handling the captaincy responsibilities again. But still, that didn’t help CSK win more matches and the four-time-champions ended up being at the 9th position in the points table, just above their arch-rival Mumbai Indians.

Dhoni’s continuation in IPL is always a talk of the town but he had hinted in one of matches that he will be there for the next season in 2023. That season might also be one of the most beloved cricketer’s last appearance.
