“Bigger & Stronger”- Twitter reacts as Mumbai Indians goes global; owners announce names of UAE and South Africa T20 franchises

The Indian Premier League franchise, Mumbai Indians, has now gone global as it has bought teams in UAE and South Africa’s new T20 leagues. The owner of the franchise revealed the names of both the teams on Wednesday, August 10. They are- MI Emirates and MI Cape Town which are phonetically “MY Emirates’ and “MY Cape Town” respectively.
Nita M. Ambani, Director of Reliance Industries and the owner of Mumbai Indians, said, “It gives me great pleasure to welcome ‘MI Emirates’ & ‘MI Cape Town’, the newest additions to our #Onefamily.
“For us, MI goes beyond cricket. It embodies the ability to dream, be fearless and foster a positive attitude in life. I am sure that both MI Emirates and MI Cape Town will embrace the same ethos and take MI’s global cricket legacy to even greater heights.”
Mumbai Indians’ official social media handles released a video with the caption: “Presenting @MICapeTown & @MIEmirates”.

Apart from Mumbai Indians, other IPL franchises including the likes of Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Supergiants, and Sunrisers Hyderabad have bought all the six teams in South Africa’s new T20 league.
Following are the names of the six franchises that are bought by the IPL team owners:
Newlands, Cape Town- Mumbai Indians
Kingsmead, Durban- Lucknow Super Giants
St George’s Park, Gqeberha- Sunrisers Hyderabad
Wanderers, Johanneshburg- Chennai Super Kings
Boland Park, Paarl- Rajasthan Royals
SuperSport Park, Pretoria- Delhi Capitals
