Pakistan batter Sohaib Maqsood revealed the reason why India beats Pakistan in the World Cups. According to him, the reason behind Pakistan’s losses are over excitement from the Men in Green.

Pakistan never won a World Cup match against India until October 2021 when Babar Azam‘s side defeated the Men in Blue by 10 wickets in their clash at the T20 World Cup 2021 in UAE.

“The reason for the green shirts’ consistent defeat against India in World Cup matches is because the Pakistani team became overexcited (sic). However, in the recent past, our team has started treating Indo-Pak matches normally, and it has improved our performance too,” Maqsood was quoted as saying on Geo News.

“A couple of international matches over a professional career of two decades does not justify my abilities. I was dropped from the national team multiple times due to injuries. I made several comebacks and am still eager to represent Pakistan,” he said.

Pakistan had never won a single match before the T20 World Cup in 2021. They have lost all their 12 matches against India in ODI as well as T20.

But they displayed a dominant performace in their opening match of the T20 World Cup against India. Azam’s Pakistan bundle out Pakistan for just 151 runs. Pakistan then chased down the target easily without losing a single wicket.

The two teams shares one of the greatest rivalry in the history of cricket. Now, in their head-to-head record, India is dominating its neighbour 12-1. It will be interesting to watch the opening match of the Asia Cup 2022 when these arch-rivals will clash against each other on August 28.
