Australian veteran spinner Nathan Lyon has tied knots with his long-time girlfriend, Emma McCarthy. Emma is also a real estate agent. Earlier today, Lyon took to his social media accounts and shared the pictures with his wife to announce his wedding on Sunday, July 24.

The photo received thousands of big thumbs up and congratulatory comments. Several Aussie cricketers including the likes of Brett Lee, Sean Abbott, Josh Inglis, and Alex Carey have congratulated the couple.

Nathan Lyon and Emma McCarthy have dated for five years and according to the rumours, they got engaged last year. McCarthy was seen several times in the stands cheering for him.

This is also Lyon’s second marriage. He split with his first wife Mellisa Warring and it also became a talk of the town in 2017. He was caught kissing with McCarthy while he was still with his ex-wife.

They have two daughters, Harper Lyon and Milla Ellen. Both of them live with their mother.

Nathan Lyon is the third-highest wicket-taker in Tests for Australia. Before him are the legendary Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath. Lyon debuted in 2011 in Sri Lanka.

He has 438 wickets from 110 matches. Also, he has 20 five-wicket hauls to his name in Tests.

He was last seen in action last month in the Test against Sri Lanka. From two matches, he scalped 11 wickets which also the most for Australia.

He hasn’t played the white-ball formats for quite some time now. He represented 29 ODIs and two T20Is for his country and has 30 wickets overall in white-ball cricket.
