On 25th October, Australian opener David Warner scored his 2nd century of the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup against Netherlands. This is his 22nd ODI century and he has now scored the 2nd most ODI World Cup centuries with 6. Rohit Sharma currently has the most centuries, with Warner and Sachin Tendulkar at second positions.

He hit 11 boundaries and 3 sixes, while building important partnerships with Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne. After scoring his century, he had done two of his iconic celebrations. One was his iconic leap and the 2nd was the Pushpa celebration, which he had also done after he scored a century against Pakistan.

Thanks to centuries by Warner and Glenn Maxwell and 50s by Smith, Labuschagne, Australia posted a huge score of 399. Logan van Beek picked up 4 wickets, but conceded 74 runs in his quota of 10 overs. Bas de Leede was also not forgiven by the Australians, as they hit him for 115 runs. Glenn Maxwell scored a century after 25 months and also scored the 4th fastest ODI century in just 40 balls. This century is also the fastest in the ODI World Cup, breaking Heinrich Klassen’s record.
