Yuzvendra Chahal’s wife, Dhanashree Verma, is currently participating in the popular dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. She reached the finals, but lost to Manisha Rani, an influencer. Although she reached the finals, she is in the news thanks to a photo uploaded by a colleague. 

Choreographer Pratik Utekar recently uploaded a photo of him and Verma, captioning it with “Finally realised we are neighbours hahahahaha. Fighter of our show”. In the photo he was seen wrapping his arms around her and placing his head over her shoulder.

The photo received over 40,000 likes, but the fans were not impressed with the photo. Many commented that they felt bad for Chahal, adding how he could feel comfortable with the way his wife was close with other men. 

Fans slam Dhanashree Verma 

When the picture reached X, many slammed Dhanashree Verma. They asked how the influencer was not treating her husband. Some women slammed Verma, saying they’d only allow their partner to hug them like that. Many just uploaded memes mocking the situation.

Meanwhile, Chahal has been struggling to break back into the Indian team. He last played for India in August 2023, during India’s tour of West Indies. Since then, Chahal has only been playing for his state team Haryana and had a short stint with Kent in the English County Championship. Recently, he was dropped from the BCCI 2023/24 Central Contracts.

Now Chahal will feature for Rajasthan Royals in the 2024 IPL. Starting off his IPL career with Mumbai Indians, the spinner became a household name with Royal Challengers Bangalore. The leg-spinner was released before the 2022 IPL Mega Auctions. He was purchased by RR for ₹6.5 crore.
