If anyone has impressed the most with his performance throughout the five-match T20I series between India and West Indies, it’s Nicholas Pooran. Pooran’s consistent contribution helped West Indies pull off the T20I series 3-2. After the fifth T20I, Pooran took to his social media handles to show off the bruises on his body from Brandon King‘s shot and Arshdeep Singh‘s bowling on Sunday (August 13) at the Central Broward Regional Park stadium in Florida.
During West Indies’ batting, King’s shot hit Pooran’s left hand and left a mark. Arshdeep’s delivery hit Pooran on the stomach but not without leaving another scary mark. Pooran took to Twitter and wrote: “The after-effects (laughing emoticon) thank you brandon kind and arsdeep.”

Nicholas Pooran takes a cheeky dig at Hardik Pandya
After winning the series, Nicholas Pooran took to his Instagram Story and shared a post, taking a cheeky dig at Hardik Pandya over his previous comment. Notably, Pandya had said: “If Nicky wants to hit, let him hit me and that was the plan, I enjoy such competition“.
In the fifth T20I, Pooran responded to Pandya’s challenge and rose to the occasion. He smashed the Indian all-rounder for not one but two sixes off two consecutive deliveries and in doing so, he won the challenge.
