Months ago, Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma purchased a plot in Alibaug to build a holiday home. They were spotted by the press in the area and they also stopped to take photos with fans. Now that the house has been built, Kohli showed off his new holiday home in a video.
The house is in an 8-acre plot, which has a 4-bedroom villa. It is in the Avas community, which is walking distance from the Awas beach. When asked why he chose Alibaug, he confessed he liked how close it was to Mumbai, adding the calmness of the area was something he wanted.

In the video with Architectural Digest, he explained why he chose to keep the house the way it is. He pointed out how the living room didn’t have any forms of entertainment, as he wanted to keep only conversations in that area. He added that it had a double-height cut-out ceiling in the living space, which allows much more natural light to come in. The house is completely automated as well, with all aspects of it being controllable with an app. Kohli calls this his favorite part of the house.
Aakash Chopra believes Virat Kohli will return to number 3 despite being better as an opener
With Virat Kohli all set to return to T20Is, many debates regarding where he would play are coming up. Many people claim he would be perfect as an opener, while some want him to play at his usual No. 3. Aakash Chopra voiced his opinion, stating Kohli is at his best when opening.

In my opinion, Kohli is at his best in T20s when he opens the innings and bats in the powerplay overs. If you don’t give him that option and if he becomes a little slow against spinners, then it wouldn’t be surprising. That’s because it has happened regularly.Aakash Chopra said on Aakashvani
He does admit that Kohli will bat at number 3, while Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal/Shubman Gill would instead open for India. Kohli has opened only 17 times for India, but has scored two fifties and his only T20I ton.
