British prankster and YouTuber Daniel Jarvis, aka Jarvo, is notorious for invading pitches and has often breached security during India’s matches. On Sunday (October 8), when India and Australia were gearing up for their first match of the 2023 ODI World Cup, Jarvo’s prank once again grabbed the limelight at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Donning India jersey, with Jarvo 69 written on it, he invaded the pitch and security officials rushed in to escort him out. Pictures of the same have surfaced on social media and his photos with Virat Kohli and KL Rahul instantly went viral.

Jarvo’s antics have often raised concern about the security of the stadiums. And although some people are against his actions, others have often found them hilarious.

Fans react to another incident of pitch invasion by Jarvo

The first incident of his prank that grabbed the attention was in 2021 during the second Test match between India and England. And despite his ban from invading the pitch at the Lord’s and Headingley, he was able to manage to breach the security.

Jarvo also had to deal with legal issues due to suspicion of assault during the India-England series. This happened after he donned the India jersey and bowled a ball, then collided with English batter Jonny Bairstow.

Talking about the present match between India and Australia, the latter won the toss and opted to bat first. The Aussies have lost two wickets for 77 runs in 19 overs.
