The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Telangana will host a total of three matches of the 2023 ODI World Cup. Pakistan, led by Babar Azam, will be playing the first match here against the Netherlands. Ahead of hosting the matches, the two warm-up matches of the Pakistani cricket team were played here.

The stadium, with a capacity of 55,000 is owned by the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). It was renamed after the former prime minister of India Rajiv Gandhi.

The pitch is considered a balanced one, assisting both the batters and the bowlers. The pacers have troubled the batters but once the batters settle themselves, they end up posting a huge total.

The venue has hosted several ODI matches and Australia top the list of highest innings total here with their 350/4 against India in November 2009. The lowest total was scored by England (174) in 2011.

Shubman Gill blasted the highest total (208 against New Zealand) at this stadium while Yuvraj Singh collected the most runs (233 in three matches) as well as smacked two centuries. It was here Sachin Tendulkar scored his 45th ODI century and completed his 17,000 ODI runs.

Apart from Hyderabad, nine other venues will host the matches. Host India will be playing their first match against Australia on October 8 in Chennai.

The 2023 ODI World Cup starts on October 5. England and New Zealand will lock horns on that day at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The final is slated to take place on November 19 in Ahmedabad. The tournament will be played in a round-robin format. Each team will play against the other teams once, and the top four teams will qualify for the semifinals.
