The Pakistan Cricket Team has changed their diet after landing in India due to the unavailability of beef. Beef is banned in many states and not available to any of the participating teams in the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup

To complete their protein intake, the team has changed their diet plans. According to Cricket Pakistan, the team has mutton curry, grilled lamb, butter chicken and grilled fish. They have also started to have basmati rice, spaghetti, and veg pulao. Whenever the team wants a cheat meal, they usually have the world-famous Hyderabadi Biryani.

Cricket Pakistan has posted a tweet about the Pakistani team being forced to change their diet. Many people have called out the news site for thinking the unavailability of beef is somehow news. They called them out for not respecting the traditions and culture of India.

Pakistan put up massive target while Kane Williamson score half century

In the warm-up tie between New Zealand and Pakistan, Pakistan chose to bat first after winning the toss. Captain Babar Azam scored an impressive 80 off 84. Wicket-keeper Mohammed Rizwan scored 103 off 94 balls, before retiring. Saud Shakeel also scored a quickfire 75 off 53, before getting dismissed by Jimmy Neesham. Pakistan scored a mammoth 345 in their 50 overs.

New Zealand started off their chase poorly, after Devon Conway departed for a golden duck. Fortunately, Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson scored 97 and 50 respectively. Kane Williamson did not field due to his knee injury, but batted for 54 balls before retiring. Willaimson will miss the first game of the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup due to his injury as well. Darryl Mitchell scored a half century as well, before retiring. Mark Chapman and Jimmy Neesham are currently batting for the Kiwis, with 10 overs left.
