In match 29 of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022, the Netherlands faced sub-continent giants Pakistan. The Netherlands captain won the toss and decided to bat first in an overcast climate.
A slow and awful start was something that the captain didn’t want from his team and that’s exactly what happened. The openers went away pretty early and Bas de Leede got retired hurt with a pacy bouncer by Pakistani speedster Haris Rauf. Collin Ackermann was again the only run-scorer as he has been throughout the tournament for the Netherlands. He scored a contributing 27, and the second-highest run-scorer for the team was captain Scott Edwards who contributed 15 runs in 20 balls.
At the end of their innings, the Netherlands posted a score of 91 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Shadab Khan again impressed with his 3 of 22 whereas Wasim Khan, Shaheen Afridi, and Naseem Shah bagged 1 wicket each.
Captain Babar Azam was again the talking point of the match as he failed to convert his innings again, slumping to a sloppy run out on 4. Mohammad Rizwan got out just 1 run Shy from his 50. Fakhar Zaman returned to the starting line up scoring 20 of 16 and Shan Masood scored 12 of 16.
Pakistan won the match in the 13th over with the loss of 5 wickets and is now banking on India to win against South Africa to boost their chances for a sport in the semi-final.

Be it Pakistan winning the match, or Babar Azam again going back to the pavilion without scoring a biggy, fans on Twitter had a lot to say and express after today’s match that saw Pakistan defeating the Netherlands.
As each day passes by, the World Cup tends to get more interesting. Despite some of the matches being marred by rain, fans are still excited to see who will prevail victory in this competitive tournament.
