Ravindra Jadeja has removed all the posts related to his IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings from his Instagram of the 2021 and 2022 campaigns. This came a surprise to the fans because there has been talks that some rift must have happened between CSK and Jadeja after the IPL 2022 season.

Just two days before the start of IPL 2022, MS Dhoni stepped down from CSK’s captaincy and the Jadeja was made the captain. However, CSK had a worst season and all many fans could do was to blame Jadeja for his ‘poor’ captaincy.

But after the first-half of the tournament, Jadeja relinquished the position- stating the reason that he wanted to concentrate on his performance- and MS Dhoni took it up again. Fans had expected that CSK’s performance would start to get better under Dhoni’s guidance but that didn’t happen and CSK, the four-time champions, ended up at the bottom of the points table; were at the 9th positive just above Mumbai Indians.

Soon Jadega was ruled out of IPL 2022 due to an injury. He returned to cricket last month in a practice match agaisnt Leicestershire. In the recently-concluded rescheduled fifth Test against England at Edgbaston, Jadeja scored a fine ton that helped India set a massive target in the first innings. The 1st T20I that followed the Test didn’t saw Jadeja as he was given a short break but he’ll play the rest two matches.

Ravindra Jadeja didn’t post birthday wish to Dhoni on his 41st birthday which was celebrated yesterday (July 7). CSK’s official Twitter handle shared video of their players wishing Dhoni on his birthday but one CSK player wasn’t there and it was Jadeja. This added to the rift rumours between Jadeja Dhoni and the franchise.

Jadeja also removed CSK related posts from 2020 and 2021 from his Instagram account and some eagle-eyed fans suggested:

But fans must notice other stuffs as well. CSK had congratulated Jadeja when he completed his century in Birmingham. The franchise had also put up a congratulatory post after BCCI elected him as the vice-captain for the upcoming ODI series against West Indies.

“What happened, happened. IPL was not on my mind. Whenever you are playing for India, your entire focus needs to be on the Indian team. It was the same for me,” said Jadeja when he was asked in a conference about IPL 2022.
