Ravindra Jadeja
Former Chennai Super Kings skipper has removed all posts related to the franchise of the year 2021 and 2022 from his official Instagram account. This sparked the rumours of rift between him and the franchise which fans believe, started during IPL 2022.
Jadeja was named the captain of CSK when MS Dhoni stepped down from the roles just two days before the start of the 15th edition of IPL in 2022. But Jadeja left the position midway stating that he wanted to concentrate more on his game and that captaincy pressure is impacting his individual performance. This saw Dhoni handling the duties for the rest of the tournament.
However, CSK had a worst season because they ended up at the bottom of the points table. But Jadeja was later ruled out of the IPL with rib injury which saw fans creating rumours of a possible rift between him and CSK.
But Jadeja returned to international cricket and scored a fine ton against England on the fift rescheduled Test at Edgbaston. When he was asked about IPL 2022, he said right now all the focus is just on the international matches.
Dhoni celebrated his birthday on July 7th and CSK posted a video of their players wishing Dhoni but fans didn’t find Jadeja’s video nor did Jadeja wished Dhoni, which he used to do every year. Later, fans were quick to notice that the all-rounder had removed all the posts related to CSK’s 2021 and 2022 seasons from his social media account, which fans believe that indeed something must have happened between the two.
However, an official from CSK tried to clear the rumours and told ANI, “See, this is a personal call by him. We are not aware of such kinds of incidents from our side. All OK. Nothing is wrong.”
CSK even congratulated Jadeja after BCCI elected him as the vice-captain for the upcoming ODI series against the West Indies. The franchise had also congratulated Jadeja when he scored his ton at Edgbaston.
