Ravindra Jadeja to miss Bangladesh tour; BCCI may name replacement
Ravindra Jadeja
In a latest development, Indian star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is likely to miss the upcoming Bangladesh tour as he has not fully recovered. He was a included in both ODI and T20I squads but BCCI cleared at that time that his inclusion was a conditional one and subject to his fitness.
As per reports by Cricbuzz, Jadeja is still far from recovering from the injury. Hence, he will miss the assignment and the Chetan Sharma-led selectors panel might announce a replacement by next week. He played his last game for the Men in Blue against Hong Kong on August 31.
Team India sealed the three-match T20I series 1-0 after their last game was tied using the DLS method. They will next lock horns with New Zealand for three ODIs before returning home. Senior players will return for the Bangladesh tour, which includes three ODIs and two Tests, commencing on December 4.

Ravindra Jadeja reveals what PM Narendra Modi said to him
Ravindra Jadeja recently revealed that he met PM Narendra Modi back in 2010 when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He met him at the Ahmedabad Stadium when Team India were there to play a match against South Africa. It was former Indian skipper MS Dhoni who introduced him to the politician.
“We (India) had a match against South Africa at the Motera Stadium. Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni), who was our captain back then introduced me to him. Modi Sahab ne khud bola ki ‘bhai ye toh apna ladka hai, dhyaan rakhna (Modi Sahab said himself, ‘He’s our boy, take care of him)’. He said so with a laugh while being in a light mood),” he said.
Jadeja’s continuous injury issues are not a good sign for the Men in Blue, especially when the 2023 World Cup isn’t far away. He is a vital part of the setup who adds a lot of value to the side. It remains to be seen by when he will be able to regain fitness and what his form will be.
