After departing for consecutive ducks, Rohit Sharma returned with a bang after scoring a century against Afghanistan. His innings saw him struggling at first, but he picked up pace and completed his 5th T20I century. From scoring his fifty in 41 balls, he scored 71 runs in the next 29 balls. He further scored 13 in the first super over and 11 in the 2nd super over.

While fans enjoyed the innings, many enjoyed his explosive knock. Fans and pundits spoke on how he looked more comfortable in T20Is after a 14-month absence. His teammate, Yuzvendra Chahal, was quite entertained by the knock as well, going as far as claiming that Sharma had “owned” Bangalore.
