“Ranji season nahi chal rahi!”- RCB’s Anuj Rawat slammed by netizens for playing ‘Test’ innings vs DC
Despite everything, RCB though, reached a competitive total of 174/6 in their 20 overs.
Anuj Rawat
Anuj Rawat was Royal Challengers Bangalore‘s (RCB) Impact Player when the team took on Delhi Capitals (DC) on Saturday (April 15) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. An Impact Player is expected to make an impact, but Rawat did not. He faltered badly.
RCB got off to a flier with opener Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis. However, they faced a collapse in the middle overs and were forced to use their Impact Player. Anuj took 22 balls to score a mere 15 runs with a four, at a paltry strike rate of 68.18. Owing to his ‘Test’ knock, as claimed by the fans, Rawat was brutally trolled by the netizens on Twitter.
RCB would have sent Wanindu Hasaranga who can go for big hits in the death overs. Despite everything, RCB though, reached a competitive total of 174/6 in their 20 overs.
