Remaining purse for all teams ahead of IPL 2023 auction
The mini-auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is slated to take place on December 23 in Kochi. A total of 991 players registered their names for the auction.
A total of 163 players were retained by the franchises, which also has 50 overseas players. Now 87 slots are available, and a total of Rs 206.5 crore is remaining in the auction pool.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have the biggest budget remaining in their purse with Rs. 42.25 crores. The team with the smallest amount remaining in their purse is Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Take a look at the teams and the amounts remaining in their purse.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have retained 18 players, out of which six are overseas. They have spent Rs. 74.55 crores and have Rs. 20.45 left in their purse for available seven slots (two are overseas slots).
Delhi Capitals have spent Rs.75.55 crore, and Rs.19 45 crore is left in their purse. They have retained 20 players (six are overseas) and have five slots available (two are for overseas).
IPL 2022 winners Gujarat Titans retained 18, out of which five are overseas. They have seven slots available, and three slots will be for overseas players. They have Rs. 19.25 crore left in their purse after spending Rs.75.75 crore.
Kolkata Knight Riders have Rs.7.05 crore left in their purse for filling up 11 slots (three are overseas). The two-time champions have retained 14 players (five are overseas) and spent Rs.95.95 crore. They have also traded-in Lockie Ferguson, Shardul Thakur, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz.
KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants have spent Rs.71.65 as 15 players are retained (four overseas), leaving them with Rs. 23.35 in their purse. They have 10 slots to fill up (four are for foreign players).
Five-time champions Mumbai Indians retained 16 players overall and five of them are foreign players. They released Kieron Pollard ahead of the auction, and also traded-in Jason Behrendorff. Rohit Sharma-led team has nine slots available (three for overseas). Following their spending of Rs. 74.45 crore, they have left with a budget of Rs. 20.55 crore.
Punjab Kings released their IPL 2022 skipper Mayank Agarwal. After retaining 16 players (five overseas) and spending Rs.62.8 crore, they are left with Rs. 32.2 crores to sign players to fill the nine available slots, three of them to purchase the foreign players.
Royal Challengers Bangalore have 18 players retained following spending Rs.86.25. To fill their seven remaining slots (two for foreign), they have Rs. 8.75 crores available.
IPL 2022 runners-off Rajasthan Royals have retained 16 (four overseas) players. The Sanju Samson-led team has Rs. 13.2 crore left after spending Rs. 81.8 crores. Slots available are nine, out of which four are for overseas players.
Sunrisers Hyderabad have let go of their IPL 2022 skipper Kane Williamson and are left with Rs. 42.25 crores with 13 available slots (four overseas). They spent Rs. 52.75 crores for retaining 12 players (four are overseas).
