“He is more than a big brother to me,” Rinku Singh reveals special bond he has with ex-India captain
Rinku Singh opens up about how Suresh Raina was there to back him, regards him as something more than an elder brother.

Rinku Singh’s popularity has been increasing tenfold with every performance, as he now becomes a fan favorite. In the first T20I match against Australia, Singh finished the game and led India to victory, despite his last ball six.
In an interview with Times of India, the rising star talked about his relationship with former Indian captain, Suresh Raina. The 26-year-old credited Raina for his rise and calls him his inspiration and idol. He said whenever he needed equipment, Raina was always there to help him and called him more than a big brother.
I am a huge fan of Suresh Raina bhaiya. I follow him and try to copy him. He has played a big role in my life and career. He helped me with the bat, pads and everything I needed while playing cricket. He has sent almost everything without asking or saying anything. He is everything for me. Singh and Raina both have played for the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Team. Although Singh is known for his exploits in the T20 format, he is a very capable batter in List A and First Class cricket. The young batter has played for Kolkata Knight Riders since 2018 as well, with the franchise retaining him and purchasing him whenever possible.
Rinku Singh aims for the World Cup
Since his inclusion in the Indian T20 Team, it looks like Rinku Singh is one of the probables to be in the Indian squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup. Consistent performances in the IPL and the three entertaining performances for India could secure his spot.
In the interview with Times of India, Singh confirmed he wants to play in the upcoming World Cup. He said that if he gets the chance, he will grab it and do as well as he can, regardless of format. He also spoke about how honored he was being the only player from Aligarh to play in the IPL and represent India, which is a big thing for him.
