Rishabh Pant had a terrible accident in December 2022, which had him ruled out from cricket for a long time. He began recovery in the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore, but wasn’t yet fit enough to play. But now many reports say that he is all set to return to cricket to play in the IPL. 

Rishabh Pant had injuries on his knees, hands and knee after a near-fatal accident in 2022, which sidelined him for months. But according to Cricbuzz, he will return to full fitness by the end of February 2023. He has not yet practiced wicket-keeping, but is focusing on his batting and fielding. When the NCA and BCCI feel he is ready, he will return to wicket-keeping.

When he returns, he will return to his role as the captain of Delhi Capitals. In his absence, David Warner captained the side. There were also rumors of him being used as an impact player so he didn’t need to field and only bat.

With Pant set to comeback to cricket in March, it is possible that he could return to the Indian team after the 2024 T20I World Cup. India play Bangladesh and New Zealand at home in the months for October and November for Tests, and Pant could return to the longest format in that period. India will also travel to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in December as well, a country where Pant has done wonders.
