Sakshi Pant is the elder sister of Delhi capital skipper and Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant. In an interview with DNA India, Sakshi Pant spoke about her brother‘s childhood, liking for MS Dhoni and other details.
Sakshi Pant was asked about her brother’s affection towards MS Dhoni and how he grew up and played cricket idolising the former Indian captain. She was asked whether there was any specific incident from when Pant started following MSD. She said that Rishabh had always dreamt of playing alongside his idol and was a Dhoni fan since childhood.
As Rishabh has been leading his IPL side, she was asked about her brother’s qualities that would make him the ideal test captain of his nation. She says Rishabh has had leadership qualities since he was a child and he has good listening and observational skills. Moreover he is a quick learner, and all these will definitely help him become a good captain, added Paint’s sister.
He never fails to keep the audience entertained – be it his talking behind the stumps or his marvellous stroke play. Sakshi Pant was asked whether her brother was naughty as a kid or obedient. She said that Rishabh was both naughty and obedient at the same time and he loves beingm naughty.

She was asked about her brother’s role in helping India win the T20 World Cup
As this is the T20 World Cup here it seems inevitable that he will be the starting keeper of team India. She was asked how her brother could help India win the cup. We are always very proud of him, said Sakshi and she thinks that her brother will definitely play a major role to help India bring the cup home.
It is said that he has good terms with both Virat and Rohit, she was asked whether learning from the very best could help him become a preferable captain. Answering on how her brother would live up to captaincy duties, she said Rishabh learns from people around him and respects them and he has had a lovely opportunity learning from such experienced and great players.
