“Riyan Parag is a good finisher, One day he will finish RR,” Netizens troll Riyan Parag for failing to finish game for RR against LSG

Rajasthan Royals (RR) played a match at their home ground, Sawai Man Singh Stadium after four long years only to lose by 10 runs. There were many reasons for the Royals’ defeat against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) but Riyan Parag was the centre of all the trolling because he could not finish the game for RR. The batter went back to the dressing room with an unbeaten 15 to his name but him failing to win it for RR did not sit well with the fans.

Notably, LSG put on 154/7 on the board while batting first. Kyle Mayers top-scored for the visitors with his 42-ball 51. Meanwhile, captain KL Rahul scored a 32-ball 39 with Nicholas Pooran (29*) and Marcus Stoinis (21) also chipping in. With a decent score on the board, it was RR’s game to lose and the hosts faltered big time.

Despite Jos Buttler and Yashaswi Jaiswal adding 87 runs for the first wicket, RR could not finish the game. Although the pitch was tough to bat on, the required rate was well within RR’s reach after the 15th over. However, things started going haywire from thereon and the Sanju Samson-led team eventually ended on the opposite side of the result.

As Riyan Parag once again failed to justify this continuous backing from the RR management, netizens came hard at the batter.

RR retain top position in Points Table

rr vs lsg

Despite losing to LSG on Wednesday, Rajasthan Royals retained their place in the Points Table. The Sanju Samson-led team is still the top-ranked team with four wins in six games. Meanwhile, LSG are the second-placed team with the same number of wins in the same number of matches. They are behind RR just because of Net Run Rate.

Nevertheless, this win might have brought back LSG’s confidence which was dented after the defeat to Punjab Kings in their fifth match of the season.
