India captain Rohit Sharma suggested an interesting rule for cricket when it comes to sixes. Rohit wants 10 runs to award to those batters who hit a 100-meter six in international cricket.
Rohit is known for hitting those breathtaking maximums over the boundary ropes. His pull shots are one of the best shots to watch in cricket.
The 36-year-old, who has smacked 551 sixes so far, is on the verge of surpassing Chris Gayle to become the batter with the most sixes in international cricket. The West Indian legend currently tops the list with two sixes more than Rohit.
“If a batter hits a 90m six, it should be 8 runs. If it’s a 100m six, it should be 10 runs. There should be some reward for hitting such sixes that go a long way. Now, whether the ball lands very far or just behind the rope, it’s still six runs,” Rohit Sharma told journalist Vimal Kumar on the latter’s YouTube channel.
Rohit Sharma reportedly lost his iPhone in Rajkot
India and Australia faced each other for the third and final ODI against Australia at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. There are reports saying the Indian captain lost his iPhone while practicing before the scheduled match.
As per MyKhel, Rohit lost his phone while practicing in the nets and the news of the same went viral. Rohit is known for his forgetfulness and even his teammate Virat Kohli had previously talked about the same in a chat show.
Also after lifting the 2023 Asia Cup, Rohit forgot his passport in the team hotel and waited for it restlessly in the team bus. Previously, the clip of his forgetting his team’s decision after the toss and his drinking from a closed-lid bottle also went viral.
Rohit will be seen in action during the two warm-up matches before the start of India’s ODI World Cup campaign on October 8. The Men in Blue will play Australia on that day in Chennai.
