Pakistan vice-captain Shadab Khan gave a befitting reply to a fan who mocked teammate Hasan Ali on X (formerly Twitter). Shadab posted a couple of pictures of himself on the micro-blogging platform and asked the fans whether he learned better modeling skills.
On Shadab’s post, Hasan Ali praised him, and his bromance with Shadab irritated a fan who asked the X account of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to educate its international cricketers on how to use social media. But Shadab sensed hypocrisy and made the fan realize that by saying that if football great Lionel Messi doesn’t speak English, it is fine among the fans, but they will mock Pakistani cricketers for not speaking in English and will deem them as uneducated.
“Messi english na bolay theek (It’s okay if Messi doesn’t speak English),” wrote Shadab. “It’s fine if foreign players say the same in English. However, we should avoid being natural [ourselves]. We should develop a fake personality. I don’t feel any shame in my culture or poking fun in it.”

Shadab Khan will be back in action for the 2023 Asia Cup

The swashbuckling all-rounder Shadab Khan recently participated in The Hundred tournament where he represented the Birmingham Phoenix. Now he will join the national team for the all-important Asia Cup, starting on August 30.
Pakistan will play their first match on the opening day against Nepal. Their match against arch-rivals India is on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Due to the strained political relationship between India and Pakistan, PCB has proposed a hybrid model according to which Sri Lanka will co-host the tournament along with Pakistan. In the last edition of the Asia Cup, which was played in the T20 format, Pakistan reached the final but got defeated by Sri Lanka.
