Pakistan vice-captain Shadab Khan turned 24 on October 4. On his birthday, he took a jab at a fan who tried to teach him to focus on the World Cup.
Fans and fellow cricketers showered wishes on Shadab’s birthday on social media platforms. But knowing the nature of Twitter fans, someone is always there to criticize.
Shadab replied in a tweet to Iftikar Ahmed who wished him on his birthday. Iftikar wrote: “Saalgirha Mubarak ho Shadab Bhaijaan.” To this, Shadab replied with: “Pehle shaddy phir shaddy bhai phir shaddy bhaijaan ho gaye. Thank you ifti bhai. [First Shaddy then Shaddy bro, then it became Shaddy brother. Thank you Ifti bro].
In one of his replies, a fan attempted to school the cricketer. He wrote: “Ye shaddy shoody k chakr choro and please focus on world cup.[Leave all these shaddy things…and focus on World Cup].”
Shadab then replied to the fan with: “Abi nz main aadhi raat hai Physio ne bola hai rest kero time off lo aap kehte hain tu ulta latak ke training start ker de? [It’s midnight in New Zealand, physio told us to rest and take our time off and you are asking me to hang upside down and start training?]”
