SRK was conducting a Q&A session for fans and he was asked to speak about Virat Kohli.

Indian actor and superstar, Shah Rukh Khan, had a Q&A session on his Twitter account. He answered various questions regarding his old movies, future plans and in general interacted with various fans. He was then asked by a fan to say something about Indian cricketer, Virat Kohli. 

King Khan replied, “I love @imVkohli he is like my own and I pray always for his well being….bhai damaad jaisa hai humaara!!! (He is like my son-in-law)”. Virat Kohli is loved throughout India for his batting and aggressive nature. He is regarded as the best cricketer in the world currently. He is often compared to the greats of the sport, such as Sachin Tendulkar and Sir Vivian Richards.

SRK was one of the first people to own an IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders, along with actress Juhi Chawla and her husband, Jay Mehra. The team has won two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014. One of their biggest rivals is the Royal Challengers Bangalore as well, the team Virat Kohli has played for since the inaugural IPL. 

Along with KKR, he also owns 3 teams in different T20 leagues. There is the Trinbago Knight Riders, who just lost the 2023 CPL finals. He owns the Los Angeles Knight Riders, which participates in Major League Cricket. He also owns the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, which compete in the International League T20.

Throwback: Virat Kohli’s Swayamvara conducted by SRK 

Back when the IPL was televised on Sony Sports, the opening ceremony of the 2014 IPL was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. He had called up Virat Kohli on the stage to conduct his “Swayamvara.”

He was asked what kind of woman he wants to marry and was shown various options, but he rejected all of them. He was then made to dance to a song from a SRK film. After randomly selecting 4 random envelopes, they eliminated 2 more. He finally selected an envelope that had a photo of his then rumored girlfriend and current wife, Anushka Sharma.
