During the electrifying clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan, the latter’s star bowler Shaheen Afridi was spotted watching the match from the stands on Sunday, August 28 at the Dubai International Stadium in UAE. Shaheen has been ruled out of the entire tournament due to a knee injury.
Shaheen was the main culprit behind India’s quick fall of wickets in last year’s T20 World Cup. He dismissed the top three batters – Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and later dismissed Virat Kohli. With the top-order gone, India failed to put up a competitive target on the scoreboard.
Pakistan chased down the target without breaking a sweat. The pair of Pakistani openers- captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan remained unbeaten to help Men in Green with their first ever victory against India in the World Cups.

India defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets in Asia Cup 2022
The rivalry is continuing in the Asia Cup 2022 but this time, Pakistan couldn’t repeat the result of last year’s World Cup. India, with a magnificent six off Hardik Pandya in the penultimate over did the job for Men in Blue.
Pakistan had scored just a mere 147 with Rizwan’s 42-run knock. Although, India also lost some wicket wickets, Ravindra Jadeja and Pandya’s knocks added stability to India’s innings.
It was too soon to decide on the result of the match before the penultimate over because both countries looked the right contender for the victory. But a calm Pandya assured that he’ll take care of the winning shot; and so India have no 8-1 win advantage in T20 cricket against Pakistan.
