Gautam Gambhir calls out broadcasters for telecasting his fights with Shahid Afridi
Gautam Gambhir and Shahid Afridi have shared a long rivalry, which has been seen on the field and off it. The two recently faced off in the Legends League Cricket in 2023, where the two looked on good terms.
Recently the opener expressed his annoyance at broadcasters for televising his fights with Afridi. He claimed many of them are hungry for TRP and traction on social media. He also added that he would like something more than the fights being broadcasted.
At the end, it's a game of numbers, right? In the end, how much traction you're getting on social media, it's not all about TRP. If you keep showing one thing then it gets negative. There are many other positive things to show as well, India has defeated Pakistan in many important matches,Gautam Gambhir said on a podcast with ANI
Gambhir says he’s moved on and can’t control the broadcasters. He said he was always 100% ready to give it all in every game and will always control what he can.
