Indian cricketer Shubman Gill has opened up on Rishabh Pant’s rift with Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela. A couple of months ago, the two engaged in vocal welfare through stories on social media. It all started after the diva in an interview said that a man named ‘RP’ waited for hours to meet her in Mumbai.
Fans assumed that person to be Rishabh Pant as earlier there were reports of the two being in some sort of relationship. Although both didn’t take each other’s names on stories, they replied directly back to the claims. It showed that there was something in between both of them.
Gill, who recently appeared on a Punjabi show, was asked to share his opinion on the matter. The right-handed batter clearly stated that Pant has no feelings for the actress and is unaffected by her doings. “There is nothing from Rishabh Pant’s side. He doesn’t get distracted by her activities. Actually, Urvashi wants that someone teases her,” he said in Punjabi.

Shubman Gill also revealed how former Indian skipper MS Dhoni made him feel better after he was dismissed cheaply on his India debut. “The day I made by debut, I was dismissed when India were around 15. I was sitting outside and was sad having scored just 9 runs in my debut. So Mahi bhai came and saw that I was very sad. I was then around 18-19 years old.
He told me at least your debut was better than mine.I realised he was dismissed for golden duck in his debut. He did not face a single ball and was run out. Then he started laughing and joking and I was touched by that gesture,” said Gill while speaking to Sonam Bajwa on her chat show ‘Dil Diyan Gallan’.
Gill is currently with the Indian team in New Zealand for the limited-overs series. He is likely to open the innings for the Men in Blue in the absence of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. It will be a crucial tour for him as the 2023 World Cup approaches and the management are also hunting for a new set of players for the T20I setup.
