A signing war has started between Cricket South Africa’s New T20 league and UAE’s ILT20. Earlier, on Monday, ILT20 have published a list of players name who have registered for the league.
Now, CSA have confirmed the signing of 30 international players for its inaugural edition. A squad of 17 players will represent each of the six franchises in CSA’s league. Notably, six Indian Premier Legaue owners have bought six franchies in South Africa’s new league. Mumbai Indian team in CSA have already named their franchise as MI Cape Town and they have signed Rashid Khan, Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran, and Kagiso Rabada.
Chennai Super Kings owned franchise has brought Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali while Delhi Capitals based franchise signed in Anrich Nortje and Aiden Markram was purchased by Sunrisers Hyderabad. Rajasthan Royals have roped in Jos Buttler while Quinton de Kock is sold to Lucknow Super Giants.
The owners of the teams have the option to sign up to five players prior to the auction. The five includes three overseas players, one Proteas player, and one uncapped South African player.
