American streamer Daren Watkins Jr., also known as IShowSpeed, broke the internet after he declared his favorite footballer was “Christo Ronaldo, Sewy!” Since then he has become one of the biggest faces of the internet, releasing songs and going viral for any small thing he does.
In the past few years, he was introduced to the world of cricket and he decided his favorite cricketer was going to be India star, Yrat Kohli (Virat Kohli). Since being introduced to cricket, he has sent him voice messages on Instagram, called Virat better than “Miss Dhoni” (MS Dhoni) and also attended the finals of the 2023 World Test Championship final, where India lost by 209 runs against Australia.
In the past few years, there has been an ongoing debate in the cricketing world on who is the better batter, Virat Kohli or Babar Azam. IShowSpeed voiced his opinion on Babar Azam’s instagram page. In Babar Azam’s latest post, he commented “virat óbolo tos the goat??.” The comment translates to “Virat is the GOAT (Greatest of all time).”
Throwback to when IShowSpeed discovered MS Dhoni
While streaming himself playing FIFA 23 online, IShowSpeed was told by his audience to check out Indian legend, MS Dhoni. He searched on google for the wicket keeper from Jharkhand and his only reaction was “Who the f**k is this?”. He then asked why he was popular despite being retired.

He then mispronounced his name, calling him “Miss Dhoni” and then calling him a library teacher. He then was reconsidering his thoughts on the Indian legend before commenting, “Virat is better bro,” before returning to playing FIFA 23.
IShowSpeed has gained a lot of following in India and around the world due to his antics while streaming. He has gotten in trouble in the past due to his misogynistic comments while streaming. He was also a part of the Sideman Football Charity matches in 2022 and 2023.
