“No more one family”- Suryakumar Yadav’s ‘broken heart’ emoji on Instagram Story before IPL 2024 sends netizens into a frenzy

Suryakumar Yadav is one of the biggest stars in the nation thanks to his exploits in T20 cricket. Ever since his days at Kolkata Knight Riders, the Mumbai batter made a name for himself with his hitting ability and is now the highest rated batter in the ICC T20I batting ratings.
Unfortunately, Suryakumar Yadav might be forced to miss the start of the 2024 as he recovers from an ankle injury. Yadav injured his ankle during India’s tour of South Africa during the final T20I of the series. Undergoing surgery for hernia in Germany, he is recovering at the National Cricket Academy.

He has not received a clearance from the NCA, forcing him to miss the first few matches of the IPL. With just days left for the start of the mega event, the cricketer put up the emoji of a broken heart on his Instagram Story.

When fans first saw the story, many of them had mixed reactions. Many joked about his poor innings in the 2023 ODI World Cup finals, where he scored 18 off 28. Others commented at how once again things were wrong in the MI camp, referencing the Rohit Sharma–Hardik Pandya captaincy saga. They also referenced Jasprit Bumrah, who also uploaded a cryptic post after Pandya joined MI.

Along with Suryakumar Yadav, MI have also lost Jason Behrendorff to injury. While training, he broke his leg in a freak accident and will miss the entire season. English pacer Luke Wood has been called in his place. They have also lost Dilshan Madushanka and Gerald Coetzee to injuries. The duo will miss the initial stages of the season.
