Team India to straightaway feature in KNOCKOUT matches in the Asian Games
The cricket matches are set to begin on 28th September and will be played in T20 format.

The 19th Asian Games are set to begin on the 19th of September and will conclude on the 8th of October. The games are scheduled in Hangzhou, China where both India the Men’s and Women’s cricket teams have gotten straight entry into the quarter-finals of the tournament.
The cricket matches are set to begin on 28th September and will be played in T20 format. This being Team India’s first-ever appearance in the Asian Games for cricket, it is an added bonus that the team will directly play the knockouts.
India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Bangladesh have all received direct entry to the semi-finals as of the ICC T20 rankings on 1st June. All the matches will be considered international T20 matches and will be given official status.
Ruturaj Gaikwad set to lead Team India at Asian Games
Marking their debut in the Asian Games, India is set to send both their men’s and women’s teams to the tournament. While it is still unsure whether women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur will miss her first two matches of the Asian Games due to the ICC ban, Ruturaj Gaikwad will be leading the men’s team at the Games.
