In the past few days he had received copyright strikes by a Bangladeshi Youtube channel called Marhaba Cricket India. Moody was threatened by the Maharba Cricket India as they claimed they had the rights to the videos. After receiving 3 copyright strikes, all by the Bangladeshi account, his account was taken down by YouTube.

Rob Moody announced the channel being taken down on his X account, saying it was a fun 14 years. Rob Moody says he hasn’t earned a single penny from running the account, but it was more like a hobby for him. His Twitter account still holds many cricket highlights, but the last video uploaded was in December 2022.

Netizens devastated as the channel has been taken down, many call it a dark day

Robelinda2 was loved by fans all across the world, with many stating they used to go through his account for highlights. Cricket boards often used to contact Rob Moody for old highlight archives as they just didn’t have the videos themselves.

Netizens were devastated on X, with many calling it a loss to cricket. Fans claimed Moody did more for the fans of cricket than the cricket boards themselves, as he kept his huge cricket archive open for everyone. Some demanded a minute of silence before the start of the next few 2023 ICC ODI World Cup matches, while others wished he would get his channel back soon.
