3. 91* vs New Zealand
In the 20-over game, Morgan played brutally against New Zealand and smashed 91* runs off just 41 balls. In what was one of the best scores in the format, Morgan batted alongside the destructive Dawid Malan to set a target of a massive 241 runs.
The Balck Caps had no answer to the huge score and eventually lost the game by a margin of 76 runs.
4. 88 vs New Zealand
England shifted to an aggressive brand of cricket after the forgettable 2015 ICC World Cup. After that tournament, England had set on a journey to be the leaders in the white-ball format which was led by Morgan.
Again there was New Zealand where Morgan showed his brutal power. It was the second ODI game after the World Cup and Morgan smashed 88 runs off just 47 balls with six boundaries and six sixes. His knock was a clear message to the English dressing of the kind of knocks demanded of them. The knock showed England what they must do thenceforth despite England losing that game.
5. 66 vs Pakistan
In the T20 match against Pakistan, the Green side batted first and posted a mammoth total of 195 runs. English batters struggled to score runs until the man himself walked out to bat.
He attacked the world-class Pakistani bowlers including the likes of Shaheen Afridi and chased down the target. That knock of his had six fours and four sixes.
