Former India cricketer Ajay Jadeja was asked by a fan whether he thinks Travis Head was a replica of Virender Sehwag on YouTube. Jadeja had a clear and concise answer ready, saying he saw no logic in the question at all. Head became the talk of the town for his century in the 2023 ODI World Cup final between India and Australia.
Jadeja asked whether the fan who asked this question had even watched Sehwag play cricket. He pointed out that Sehwag was a left-handed batter while Head is a left-hander.
What is his age? If this guy has seen Virender Sehwag, then this is a 'behuda sawaal' (nonsensical question). There is no logic in comparing Virender Sehwag with Travis Head. One is a right-hander, and the other is a left-hander.Jadeja said on Sports Tak
Jadeja then asserted that Sehwag used to play his shorts from the first ball, asking the fan whether he watched Head batting in the same fashion in the first few overs during the final between India and Australia.
Virender Sehwag is Virender Sehwag. He used to play/go for shots from the first ball. And did this guy see how Travis Head was batting in the first few overs in the final?
Ajay Jadeja unhappy over management ignoring Ishan Kishan
Ajay Jadeja, in that same interview, said Ishan Kishan is a match winner, which is why he questioned the management for ignoring him for matches. As Shreyas Iyer returned to the side, Kishan was sidelined, which disappointed Jadeja.
Kishan played a couple of matches in the 2023 ODI World Cup and Jadeja feels the youngster deserved a spot in the playing XI for the five-match T20I series against Australia which was conducted just a couple of days after the World Cup. Notably, Kishan played the first three T20I matches.
Jadeja asked the management whether they would keep Kishan on trial all the time despite his double-century in the ODI. The former India cricketer thinks the Indian management, instead of selecting players, rejects them.
