But the CSK bowler took to his Instagram story and denied having said such ‘demeaning’ statements about Rohit Sharma. “I have absolute respect for all the legends mentioned above. I did not, would not make any such demeaning statements. Stop spreading fake news,” Deshpande shared several screenshots of the media and Twitter handles that claimed he had said those things about the Indian captain.

In that match, Deshpande’s wicket restricted Rohit Sharma at 21 (off 13 balls). Ishan Kishan (32), Tim David (31), and Hrithik Shokeen (18) guided MI to 157/8.
