Australia clinched the three-match series 2-1 but the manner in which the hosts were one by one being sent back with single-digit run made netizens beserk. Zimbabwe won a historic three-wicket victory against the Aaron Finch-led Australia in the third and final ODI on Saturday.

Only David Warner scored a 96-ball 94 to help the Aussies set 141 before they were bundled out in 31 overs. Zimbabwe responded with the loss of seven wickets in 39 overs to chase the target successfully.

Zimbabwe bowler Ryan Burl was the reason behind Australia’s terrible situation. He scalped five wickets for just 10 runs.

Talking about the match, Zimbabwe won the toss and decided to bowl. Warner smashed 14 boundaries and two sixes to score 94 runs off 96 balls while Glenn Maxwell scored 19 runs off 22 balls with three boundries. Apart from these two, no Aussie batters could even score a double-digit score. Two of their batters went back on duck.

Ryal Burl scalped the wickets of David Warner, Glenn Maxwell, Ashton Agar, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood.

In response, Zimbabwe openers Takudzwanashe Kaitano and Tadiwanashe Marumani scored 19 and 35 runs respectively. While captain Regis Chakabva played an unbeaten knock of 37 runs off 72 balls with three fours. With their knocks, Zimbabwe reached the target in just 39th over.
