KL Rahul remained outside of the Indian squad for quite some time. He had sustained groin injury and didn’t take part in India’s recent tours. But made his comeback during India’s tour of Zimbabwe but failed to make an impact.

Now his selected for Asia Cup 2022 wasn’t welcomed by the fans. Fans actually raised their eyebrows when Rahul was picked up in the India versus Pakistan match. And how that Rahul got dismissed on golden duck, Twitteraati have got the chance to slam the selectors for choosing Rahul when in-form batters like Sanju Samson is available for selection.

On the second ball of Naseem Shah’s over, he bowled on a good length around off stump. Rahul attempted to play off the back foot but an inside edge shattered the stumps and Rahul left the field after a golden duck. This wicket gave Pakistan an early breakthrough.

Talking about the match, Rohit Sharma‘s Men in Green had a successful night and billions of fans were happy with the result. This being said, India defeated Babar Azam‘s Pakistan by five wickets, giving the Indian fans a memorable Sunday.

The match saw Virat Kohli showing signs of return back to form. He and Jadeja scored most runs, that is 35.  But after the dismissal of the top-order Hardik Pandya and Jadeja took the reigns to add stability to the innings. Pandya’s lone six in the penultimate over ensured India’s avenge of last year’s T20 World Cup’s 10-wicket defeat.
