“An example of comeback”-Twitter errupts as bowlers help India thrash West Indies by 59 runs to clinch series 3-1

With the help of bowlers, especially Avesh Khan, India slammed West Indies by 59 runs to clinch the five-match T20I series by 3-1 on Saturday, August 6 at the Central Broward Regional Park in Florida, USA.

India were asked to bat first and with the help of Rohit Sharma‘s quick-fire and Rishabh Pant‘s brilliant knocks, India set a huge target of 192 to the Windies. West Indies responded by openers Brandon King and Kyle Mayers soon walking back to the dressing room after Avesh Khan and Axar Patel dismissed the batters.

Rovman Powell and Windies skipper Nicholas Pooran were the top scorers. Both of them scored 24 runs. In the fifth over, Patel bowled a fuller one and Pooran defended it and looked for a quick single towards cover to keep strike.

Kyle Mayers took off but then changed his mind. Pooran was half-way down the wicket. Sanju Samson rushed in from the covers and threw the ball towards the keeper. Rishabh Pant collected it and removed the bails after teasing a fuming Pooran.

Powell was bowled a full toss by Patel and the former managed to mistime it straight down the throad of long on. Deepak Hooda makes no mistake and caught the ball.

Shimron Hetmyer scored 19 runs off 19 balls while Jason Holder scored 13 runs off nine balls Apart from them, no other batters could score even double-digit number.

Avesh Khan, Axar Patel, and Ravi Bishnoi picked up two wickets each while Avesh Khan picked up three wickets.
