The Royal Challengers Bangalore have arguably been one of the most entertaining, record-breaking yet unlucky teams in the IPL. Ever since its commencement in 2008, IPL has seen RCB reach the finals three times but never go all the way. The last time RCB reached the final was in 2016 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
RCB has garnered one of the most loyal fans over time as they continue to stick by the team even though they have never won the IPL. In one of the most bizarre scenes, a video on Twitter is going viral where Virat Kohli‘s RCB team can be seen lifting the trophy. The video got amusing reactions from everyone.
The video however is from a simulation where a team in the RCB jersey can be seen lifting a trophy. The clip is from a game called ‘Cricket22’ which was developed by Big Ant Studios in 2021.
Fans react to RCB’s bizarre video
RCB fans were among the happiest to see their team lift a trophy, even if it was in the form of a virtual game. Fans of other teams however took this as an opportunity to further engage in banter with the team and its fans. Take a look at some of the reactions.
While RCB fans enjoy their team virtually winning a cricket tournament, they would want RCB to come back stronger next year and finally win the IPL. RCB have also parted ways with Sanjay Bangar and Mike Hesson in hopes of revamping their support staff and a fresh start.
