“Best wishes for the semi-final Team India”- Twitter reacts as India close out Super 12s with a comfortable victory over Zimbabwe

India beat Zimbabwe by 71 runs
India played and won their last Super 12s match against Zimbabwe by 71 runs on Sunday [November 6] at the MCG in Melbourne. Following this comfortable victory, the Men in Blue will gear up for the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022 against England on Thursday.
Coming to the match, India skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. Two batters- KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav-smashed half-centuries. Rahul scored 51 runs off 35 balls, while Suryakumar Yadav displayed a breathtaking knock with his unbeaten 61 off 25 balls; their knocks posted a challenging total of 186/5 in 20 overs.
While chasing, Zimbabwe had a poor start as on the very first ball of their chase, Bhuvneshwar Kumar sent Wesley Madhevere for a golden duck. The next batter, Regis Chakabva, also departed for a duck in the second over, delivered by Arshdeep Singh.
Tony Munyonga and Wellington Masakadza contributed only five and seven runs, respectively. But Ryan Burl tried to stabilize the innings with his 22-ball 35-run knock (with five fours and a six) at a strike rate of 159.09, but Ravichandran Ashwin showed him the way back to the pavilion in the 14th over.
Ashwin broke the budding partnership between Burl and Sikandar Raza in the 14th over. Ashwin bowled in middle, which Burl attempted to flick but missed. The ball went through to shatter the stumps.
Raza played 24 balls to score 34 runs with three sixes before Hardik Pandya scalped his wicket on the fourth ball of the 17th over. India needed to pick just one wicket to end the match.
They did so when Axar Patel caught and bowled Tendai Chatara in the 18th over, bundling out Zimbabwe on 115 to seal a comfortable 71-run victory. Ashwin scalped three wickets, Mohammad Shami and Pandya picked up two, while Bhuvneshwar, Arshdeep, and Axar grabbed one wicket each.
