“Don’t need Rizwan’s selfish 50!”- Twitter reacts as Mohammad Rizwan’s slow knock guide Pakistan to a crucial win

Pakistan finally won their first match in this T20 World Cup by beating the Netherlands on Sunday (October 30) at the Optus Stadium in Perth. First, Shadab Khan’s three-wicket haul rendered the Netherlands helpless, then Mohammad Rizwan’s slow 49-run knock guided his team to a six-wicket victory, and Men in Green got their desired two points in the marquee event.
Van Meekeren delivered a full one which Rizwan shuffled across and attempted to heave the ball away, but only managed to get a thick edge. The ball stayed low toward the keeper, and Scott Edwards dived to grab a sharp catch.
Babar Azam once again failed miserably in the T20 World Cup 2022. He departed after a poor show of four runs off five balls following a run-out by Roelof van der Merwe in the 2nd over.
Fakhar Zaman played a 16-ball 20-run knock (with three fours), but Brandon Glover in the 8th over, sent him back with a full ball. Zaman out-edged the ball, and Edwards dived behind the stumps to grab the ball safely.
Pakistan weren’t in a terrible state despite losing their top-order batters because their opponents had not given them a huge target. Shan Masood comfortably took Pakistan as the target. He played 16 balls to score 12 runs but Glover dismissed him when his team needed just one run to win.
Shadab was adjudged the Player of the Match after his three scalps in his four overs. He conceded just 22 runs at an economy of 5.50. Meanwhile, Rizwan added another accolade to his name. He became the third Pakistani batter to reach the 2500-run mark in T20 cricket.
