KL Rahul, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain, who has been struggling badly with the bat, in both India and Indian Premier League (IPL) matches, finally played a decent innings. He scored 74 runs against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Saturday (April 15) at the Ekana Sports City in Lucknow.

Rahul was the high scorer for his team because other batters simply faltered in front of PBKS’s bowlers. Rahul’s knock had eight boundaries and a six and he batted at a strike rate of 132.14. Notably, Rahul also became the fastest Indian to score 2000 runs in IPL.

This is LSG’s fifth league match in the 16th edition of the cash-rich league. In the previous matches, Rahul’s scores read 18, 35, 20, and eight. As the Karnataka-born batter reached his half-century for the first time this season, fans on Twitter did not let go of the chance to come up with hilarious reactions.
