Shubman Gill has been struggling to score runs in West Indies. After getting out for three runs in the first T20I, Gill again fell after scoring seven runs in the second T20I, which is underway at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Sunday (August 6).
India’s stand-in skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bat first. Ishan Kishan and Gill opened the innings for India and gave them a slow start.
In the third over, Alzarri Joseph drew the first blood with his fullish ball which Gill tried to hit but the ball, after an outside edge flew toward Shimron Hetmyer who dived and grabbed the catch.

Talking about the ongoing match, India have already lost three batters before 10 overs. After Gill, Suryakumar Yadav became a victim of Kyle Mayers’ run out and could add a mere one run from three balls.
Ishan Kishan who ate 21 balls, scored the same number of runs before Romario Shepherd’s ball hit the stumps after the ball hit the outside edge of Kishan’s bat. At the time of writing this article, India reached 65/3 in 10 overs.
