Umesh Yadav, with the new ball on his hand bowled to Prithvi Shaw and dismissed him in the very first ball to give a great start to the Knight Riders. Prithvi Shaw was sent for a golden duck.

Umesh Yadav delivered a length ball around the leg and got it to straighten a hint off the seam. Shaw aimed to work it on the leg side with the line of the delivery. But the ball took the lading half and popped out to the left of the bowler. There, Umesh Yadav dived in his follow-though and snapped it up by displaying outstanding athleticism.

He also grabbed David Warner’s wicket in the 3rd ball of the 9th over. Warner was on 42 after playing 26 balls with smacking 8 fours. Umesh Yadav bowled on the middle and Warner took his eyes off as he tried to pull. But he ended up playing it without much connection and Sunil Narine in the fine leg took an easy catch.

In the first ball of 11th over, DC skipper Rishabh Pant fell prey to the speedster’s bowling. He dished out a short delivery close to off. Rishabh Pant then edged the ball behind and Baba Indrajith caught it with ease.

Talking out KKR’s innings, DC won the toss and opted to bowl first. DC openers Aaron Finch and Venkatesh Iyer faltered miserably. But Shreyas Iyer’s 42 off 37 balls revived DC’s innings. After him, no one proved much effective except for Nitish Rana who played a half-century knock. Nitish Rana scored 57 off 34 balls before giving his wicket to Mustafizur Rahman.
